Piercings have shown to easily lead to a bevy of oral issues, including gum recession, cavities, metal allergies, gingivitis, and increased plaque buildup. An Increased Risk Of InjuryDepending on your piercing's location, you can easily damage your teeth and gums. For instance, it can be easy to chew the piercings when eating if it is located close to the teeth. You can also bite it while running or doing any normal activity. The mouth is used to chewing food without any foreign objects barring it.
