What Is An ExtractionAn extraction is the process of having a tooth pulled, which is often done for reasons related to illness, trauma, or occlusion. If you need to have a tooth extracted, your dentist will sedate the region so that you don't feel any pain throughout the procedure.

In most cases, the soft tissue will completely heal in around three to four weeks. In most cases, your orthodontist will recommend that you rest for at least 24 to 48 hours following the procedure to give the treated region time to heal and form a clot. Following this, a patient should be able to resume their normal levels of physical exercise.
